Hi all,
I'm on the ventrillo server for the first time since i got broad band. it's been a long time since I've used ventrilo so maybe i forgot some things. last I was on ventrillo, I was using the left control key to talk. the way I know if i'm conected to a channel is when i hear that beep beep when i keyh up and i don't hear it when i press th left control key. I'm on broad band so if i am in the room, I should hear that beep when i key and unkey, but i don't. I'm in cup o joe, in case anyone wants to check it out. please tell me if you see my name in there, either on th eboards or via PM. thanks, Ihope I don't get kicked for idling. I'm not idling on purpose, it's just at present I'm the okinly one in here, if I am in here, lol. thanks,

well I'm not getting out for some reason. I can hear, because cool brandon came in, but unfortunately i can't be heard, and there is no beep when i key the left control key and unkey it. I made a bunch of typos in my last post, anyway what i was trying to say is i'm not idling on purpose. don't understand what the problem is really.

well ok, I left, because i hate trying and trying to get out and not getting out, driving me crazy, and I don't like just having it look like i'm not speaking to anyone.

next time I see you on wonderwomen, i'll try and pop in and see if I can help you. there could be a number of reasons why you're not being heard. may talk later.
thanks rdfreak and salina fan, but yay hoo, I got on. it had been a long time since i'd used ventrilo, so i had to enter on wonderwoman, one of my user names, and everything that was in the set up options was there. I was trying to set ventrillo up for the zone server after i'd connected to it. I dug out the cassette tape where i'd recordeda tutorial that was done on the vipconduit website about setting up ventrillo. when they were using ventrillo, they had a link you could click on that would automatically set up your hot key and user names, but apparently each time you add a new server, you have to set it all up again, including hot key. that's why I wasn't getting out. once i'd set it up, I went in cup o joe, and had a nice chat with devious_ britches, nefrateetee, probably not spelling her name right lol, grandpamagic, and can't remember the names of the others wh ocame in. it was my first time on there. so I'm all set now. thanks,

thanks queen of r and b, maybe sometime, I'll get to talk to those whose posts I've responded to, or people who have responded to my posts, but I think it's a bad idea for me to stay on there too long, even in safe haven, which is where i usually go, and plan only to go. just to be sure, cup o joe is considered to be one of theboards under the safe haven category isn't it? that was why I went in there last night, wanted to be 100 percent sure before I made it a halfway regular hang out

Yeah, ww, Cop of Jo is a safe channel, as is safe haven, but there are some people on there who like to torment others. I don't agree with it, but unfortunately they do exist.

thanks dizzy lizzie and rdfreak, had one come in safe haven being a bit of a jerk, can't say his nick name for sure, because my tts messed up the pronunciation terribly, but it was something like techno tiger or something, and as I was a great bit offended, but knowing i couldn't do anything about it i just told whoever i was talking to I had to go and left in a hurry.

I do't know half of anyone I'm speaking to on there, because the text to speech doesn't say anyone's nick name right, or even where it can be understood, except for devious britches. she's th eonly one the tts can say her name right, lol

WW, a lot of people change the TTS pronounciation of their name to a completely different phraze, just for fun! Lol
